Hi, Sam Platz is an artist from Topeka Kansas and am currently study visual arts at Washburn University. I am a 3-D artist who's favorite mediums are metal, clay, but I really like working with anything.
Sam Platz is a 3-D artist who takes functional house objects modifies them by destroying them and putting them back together but not in their original shape, but they still work. Like a lamp that was shattered and put back together, but it can still light. Veal also makes ceramic pieces not in their original shape but with something different about them. Like a mug with numerous handles.  
Taking objects that once normal to show the faces people put on in public maybe just a mask, and you may not know what is going on in someone’s home life. An example is a child who parents just got divorced, and a mentally abusive step mother. Platz's work is about overcoming a struggle in child hood to find peace when becoming an adult.
